Glow Lights

These are lights that are under the snow. They look pretty neat.

Melting snow

The temp is rising. It is in the mid thirties. It's getting pretty sloppy outside. I put up an electric wire around my chicken coop to keep the horses from leaving droppings around my coop. I'm in the market for a horse. I don't think I want to get one during the winter but the prices are reasonable that this time.

I heard about a 9 year old gelding that is on the market. I'll swing by and look at it. First I should find out who it is that is selling him.

I will post some photos in a couple of days of the snow storm.

After the storm

We didn't get the big storm the weather channel was prediting. We got probably 2 inches of snow. Friday and Saturday we got about 5 inches of snow.

Night before the ice storm.

We are looking at an ice storm tonight. It is sleeting as I write this post. There is already ice covering everything. We have the bath tub filled with water to flush the toilets. We have pitchers filled with drinking water. I called in to work this morning because of ice on the ground. Tuesday is supposed to be worst than today.

The weather station says this storm is supposed to be worst than last years. Last year we lost power for three day. We woke up to 55 degrees in the house. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

At the present we have 19 chickens and two horses. Kathy and I broke ice off the electric fence today. I shock the hell out of myself putting the fence wire back on the insulator.

The chickens seem to hang out in the coop since it is raining. The horses roam around under the trees.
