Night before the ice storm.

We are looking at an ice storm tonight. It is sleeting as I write this post. There is already ice covering everything. We have the bath tub filled with water to flush the toilets. We have pitchers filled with drinking water. I called in to work this morning because of ice on the ground. Tuesday is supposed to be worst than today.

The weather station says this storm is supposed to be worst than last years. Last year we lost power for three day. We woke up to 55 degrees in the house. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

At the present we have 19 chickens and two horses. Kathy and I broke ice off the electric fence today. I shock the hell out of myself putting the fence wire back on the insulator.

The chickens seem to hang out in the coop since it is raining. The horses roam around under the trees.

Don’t forget to tell about your wonderful wife, who is scared of heights, got up on the snow & ice covered roof to knock the ice off the Direct TV, so we could make it through the day without too much agony. You know, someone could make millions off coming up with dish warmers – satellite dishes that is.

The wonderful wife 
